The Massandra Palace was built in 1902 and originally designed for Russian Tsar Alexander III, but he died in 1894 (in Yalta) and was finished by his son - last Russian emperor Nicolas II. The project was made by french architect and resemble French Chateau. In Soviet time Palace became a holiday house for heads of Soviet Communist Party.
