Southern slopes of the main chain of Crimean mountains. All along the Black sea coast from Sevastopol to Sudak the slopes are very steep. This photo is taken on Ai-Petri mountain plateau. On the background is the Foros rocky massif.

Crimean mountains are young, not high (1545m. is highest peak). Southern slopes are rather steep. Rocks are only limestones. Mountain plateaus lie on the height of about 1200m.
