In spring when snow melts in the mountains and also after long rains the bottom of Grand Canyon of Crimea is filled with a water. River is active and so even in June (this photo was taken in the end of June) the Grand Canyon is not really walkable along its bottom

Crimean mountains are young, not high (1545m. is highest peak). Southern slopes are rather steep. Rocks are only limestones. Mountain plateaus lie on the height of about 1200m.
