On this picture is a very typical view of Crimean forest in spring. Photo was taken in the beginning of May. In the middle of May (just two weeks later) trees will be already green.

Crimean mountains are young, not high (1545m. is highest peak). Southern slopes are rather steep. Rocks are only limestones. Mountain plateaus lie on the height of about 1200m.
