Azov sea is very shallow, only 15 m. deep. This is probably why the Azov sea gets warm earlier than Black sea (it connects black sea near Kerch) and sometimes during the cold winter it can be completely frozen. Only two countries have access to the Azov sea: Ukraine and Russia.
At this folder I have photos of Azov sea all along the Crimean peninsula coast. Pictures are given in order from Kerch → resort Kurortnoe → cape Kazantip → Arabatskaya strip (a very narrow peace of sand something around 3 km. wide and more than 100 km. long). Azov sea beaches are mostly sand. I have also here photos of frozen Azov sea. These pictures were taken in the end of January near a cape Kazantip and near Kerch.
At the moment (February 05, 2012) I have 29 photos in a folder Azov sea coast.
